I will have much, much more on today’s Towson Tigers game versus University of Albany that I attended in person. But, I wanted to make sure I shared this tonight.
Towson rode into this game on a six game losing streak and, after falling behind 6-1 entering the bottom of the sixth, it looked like unlucky number seven would extend the streak. The Tigers bats woke up in that sixth inning and they would score four runs to pull within one, then another in the seventh to tie the game. Albany would take the lead in the top of the eight – the Great Danes scored in every other inning – before Towson again tied the game, showing, frankly, as much grit as I am right now by not making any “Eye of the Tiger” puns. That set the stage for Bo Plagge in the bottom of the ninth.
There are few better ways to win a game.
