Happy Pi Day! It is also the last Filaments of my 30’s. Those who know me know this is the beginning of a three year run of significant birthdays. This year is the big Four-Oh, next year is the 20th anniversary of turning 21 (woohoo!) and the year after is my second 21 (woohoo!). I came up with this concept when I thought I would actually still party like I was 21. Actually, I probably do, I was a fairly tame 21 year old. Now I’m just old. On to the links!
- Hey guys, remember when the Saints were having a #firesale and purging the “core of the Superbowl team”? Yeah, about that…welcome Jairus Byrd and welcome back Pierre Thomas. Darren, have fun in Philly.
- I have no idea how loudly Javier Baez and Mike Olt talk, but we’ve got a pretty good idea about the sticks.
- The Wizards did Wizard-y things…
- There is an entire Game of Thrones rap album. Biggest shocker – it’s pretty good.
- It’s Pi Day, so here are some pies.
- Regardless of whether or not you like Jimmy Fallon, I hope everyone can appreciate the segments where he and the Roots perform songs with classroom instruments. Here’s Idina Menzel stopping by to do her song from Frozen, which is, like, great.
- There are four close approach asteroids flying by Earth today. Of course “close” is a relative term – the closest of the four will come within 651,000 miles. Space is big.
- Zen Pencils…did not continue the Artist-Troll Wars this week. Instead I ended up reading some fantastic Muhammad Ali comics.
- This is both amazing and heartbreaking.
- In honor of Pi Day, here’s your song.
